PRACHANDA SUB-COMMITTEE MEET INCONCLUSIVE; DIDN’T
MEET EVEN ONCE IN 10 DAYS
Kathmandu, 23 March: As expected, a meeting of the Prachanda-
sub-committee to thrash out differences on themes for inclusion in a
proposed constitution to be promulgated y 28 May was inconclusive Friday.
The constituent assembly has mandated the sub-committee to thrash out
differences by Friday extending its tenureby 10 days after allure to meet previous deadlines repeatedly.
The Prachanda sub-committee didnteven met once in th elast10 days.
The main constitution committee drafting committee headed by
Nilambar
Acharya also meets later Friday; Acharya has said the basic law won’t be promulgated by the deadline.
Speaker Ssubash Nemwang Thursday said procedures should be trimmed
to promulgate the document.
