UPDATE RAJ KISHORE YADAV ELECTED MJF GANATANTRIK PARLIAMENTARY PARTY LEADER

Kathmandu, 27 March: Raj Kishore Yadav has been elected
parliamentary party leader of MJF Ganantrik Tuesday.
He replaces Jayaprakash Prasad Gupta.
A scuffle broke out at the parliamentary party meeting Monday
to elect a leader.

UPDATE MAOIST ESTABLISHMENT CENTRAL COMMITTEE MEET AT 7.30 PM WEDNESDAY

Kathmandu, 27 March: A central committee meeting of the
establishment of UCPN (Maoist) is be held at 7.30 in the morning Wednesday, the party leading the government said.
The meeting was scheduled for Tuesday.

TAPANATH SUKLA RESIGNS AS RADIO NEPAL CHIEF

Kathmandu, 27 March: Tapanath Sukla, executive director of
state-owned Radio Nepal, resigned Tuesday amid widespread
dissatisfaction amongst employees who complained they hadn’t
been paid for two months.
Sukla was appointed two years ago.

NEA, KOREAN POWER COMPANY TO DEVELOP 47MW UPPER MODI KHOLA POWER PROJECT

Kathmandu, 27 March: An agreement was signed Tuesday in
the Nepali capital for the development of the $100 million 47 MW Upper Modi Khola power project in the western region between Korea Water Corporation and Nepal Electricity Corporation (NEA).
Korea Water Corporation will have a 80 percent majority stake in he company developing the project and NEA 20 percent.
Ten percent of shares allocated to the Korean company will be
sold to locals.
The project is run-off-the river scheme.

HONG KONG NEPALI FOOTBALL TEAM DEFEATS
HIMALAYAN SHERPA

Kathmandu, 27 March: Hong Kong Nepali Football Team beat
Himalayan Sherpa 3-1 in the 14th Budasubhha Gold Cup
Tournament in Dharan Tuesday.
The team moved to the semi-final with the victory.
