CONSTITUTION PREPARED IN DARKROOM NOT ACCEPTABLE
Kathmandu, 10April: ATHMANDU: Chairman of the CPN-UML, Jhala Nath Khanal, said Nepalese people would not accept the constitution if anyone was writing it in a 'dark room', RSS reports.
In a telephone conversation with the people of Solukhumbhu on Tuesday in connection with his campaign to collect suggestions for peace and constitution, he said, only the constitution promulgated by Constituent Assembly through due process would be the true constitution of the Nepali people.
The former Prime Minister Khanal on the occasion talked with Angnima Lama, Solukhumbhu Chairman of the UML, Anggelu Sherpa, district President of the Nepali Congress, Gombu Sherpa, district In-charge of the UCPN-Maoist, journalists Bhanubhakta Niraula and Bikram Shrestha and women's rights activist Bina Rai.
Khanal also said they were sensitive to ensuring woman's rights in the new constitution and promised to resolve the citizenship problem being very sensitive on nationalism.
