CRISIS WITHOUT A FEDERAL CONSTITUTION
Kathmmandu, 7 April: Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai has warned that the nation would plunge into a conflict again if the new constitution with federalism was not drafted, RSS reports from Chitwan.

Inaugurating the 49th anniversary celebrations of Bharatpur Hospital on Saturday, the Prime Minister stressed the need of unity and cooperation among all the parties to complete the task of restoring peace and drafting the constitution and thereby prevent the nation from seeing another crisis.

The new constitution would be promulgated within the May 27 with the completion of the peace process within April 12, he claimed.

Similarly, he added that the process of forming the probe commission for the enforced disappeared and the truth and reconciliation commission would be initiated within mid-April .

Pointing out the protest by the Baidhaya faction against the BIPPA signed by the government with India, Dr Bhattarai said development of the country was not possible without foreign investment. He urged the faction not to protest just for the sake of protest and think once about the development of the nation.

Urging the local political parties and civil society leaders to take initiative to develop 'Chitwan' into a 'medical city' , he stressed the need of paying attention to the completion of the big but incomplete projects .

On the occasion, Prime Minister opened a new building (Block A) of the hospital that was constructed at the cost of total Rs. 170 million.

Founded in 2013 B.S. as a health centre, the present Bharatpur Hospital took shape in 2020 B.S. With the new block, the hospital now has 400-bed capacity. RSS
