DOZEN SHOUTH AFRICANS SUFFERING HIGH ALTITUDE SICKNESS RESCUED FROM GOSAINKUNDA
Kathmandu, 7 April: The Air Dynastic has rescued 12 tourists suffering from altitude sickness from Gosainkunda of the district, RSS reports from Dhunche.
The South African trekkers of over 50 years of age were airlifted to Kathmandu after they suddenly suffered altitude sickness at the height of 14,100-feet at Gosainkunda, said Police Inspector, Rajan Bhetwal of District Police Office, Rasuwa.
Three choppers were used to rescue the tourists, said Shreehari Kuinkel, Flight Manager of the Air Dynastic.
They are undergoing treatment in various hospitals in the Capital.
