INDIAN ARMY CHIEF DISCUSSES PEACE, CONSTITUTION WITH DPM GACHHADAR, WHO IS ALSO DEFENCE MINISTER
Kathmandu, 5 April: The visiting Indian Army Chief, General Vijaya Kumar Singh, met with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs, Bijaya Kumar Gachhadar, at the Ministry of Home Affairs in Singha Durbar on Thursday, RSS reports.

Following the meeting, the Indian Army Chief said that his visit was focused on further deepening the friendly ties between Nepal and India and during the meeting they held discussions on bilateral relations and cooperation.

It is said Minister Gachhadar, who also holds the Defence Ministry portfolio, and the Indian Army Chief also discussed the ongoing peace process and constitution-writing in Nepal.

To a query by the Indian Army Chief regarding the ongoing peace process,
Deputy Prime Minister Gachhadar said homework is being carried
out to conclude the army integration process within April 12.
