LIGHTNING STRIKE INJURES FIVE SOLDIERS IN DANDELDHURA
Kathmandu, 5 April: Five soldiers were injured in a lightning strike
Thursday at Dandeldhura Thursday.
The injured are undergoing treatment at a hospital n the far-West district.
Two women died in a lightning strike in Chitwan Thursday.
Lightning killed one person and injured another at Gadi VDC in Makwanpur Wednesday.

TIGER MAULS MAN TO DEATH IN CHITWAN
Kathmandu, 5 April: A tiger killed a man inside the Chitwan National Park in Chitwan district on Thursday, RSS reports from Chitwan.
.Kisan Mahato, aged about 17 years, of Patihani, lost his life in the tiger attack.
The beast attacked him when he had gone to the Lamitar area of the Park to cut grass with his four friends. Mahato's friends ran away and saved their lives.
According to police, they received the information about the incident only at 11:00 am though it occurred at 8:00 am.
A team of the Park and other persons found Mahato's body in a mangled condition while searching for him.
Police added preparations have been made to bring the body at Bharatpur Hospital for postmortem.
Meanwhile RSS reports from Kirtiput in the Valley: Locals of Dahachowk and Mahadevsthan VDCs have been terrorised after a leopard attacked three people at the border area of the VDCs on Wednesday.

Those injured in the leopard attack are Mina Ranamagar, Krishna Lama and Ram Bahadur Lokchan of Mahadevsthan VDC-8, according to Chairman of Dahachowk United Club, Roshan Dani.

Locals have been terrorised as they fear of possible attacks since the leopard is still not captured and said to be roaming the area, though the locals had informed the police immediately about the entry of the leopard in the settlement.

According to Sub-Inspector at the Metropolitan Police Sector, Gambhirjung Thapa, Head Constable, Yubraj Pokhrel, was also injured while making attempts to capture the leopard.
