LIGHTNING STRIKE OF KULEKHANI-II TRANSPORTER COULD INCEASE LOAD-SHEDDING

Kathmandu, 6April: A lightning Thursday evening struck a transformer of
32MW Kulekhani-II in Makwanpur disrupting power generation.
The transformer caught fire and the lightning strike
‘Power generation could be disrupted for several days. Parts for a spare
Korean transformer have to be brought,” Nagarik quoted an official of Nepal
Electricity Authority (NEA) as saying.
