MADHAV KUMAR NEPAL THREATENS TO PACK OFF FORMER KING TO JAIL

Kathmandu, 14 April: Second ranking UML opposition leader Madhav Kumar Nepal, who is a former prime minister, Saturday threatened to pack off former King Gyanendra to jail even is a democratic society
The former king is leading the life of a commoner after his ouster and declaration of a republic.
Nepal expressed dissatisfaction with the activities of the former king who visits temles and regular issues statements.
He last issued a statement on New Year Day Friday.
Nepal was imprisoned during royal rule and has come under heavy criticism of late for his public remarks.
He is now the prime defender of Nepal Army even as he was its most vehement critic of Royal Nepal Army (RNA) before Maoists established themselves as the country’s
biggest political force and replaced UML as pivotal communist force.

UPDATE TASK FORCE RECOMMENDATIONS APPROVED

Kathmandu, 14 Recommendations of the task force was approved by the special committee chaired by Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai Saturday evening.
NC General Secretary Krishna Prasad Shitaula said this as meeting continues.
