General Secretary Pokhrel expressed discontent over the UCPN-Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal's way of presenting himself as an important person to take decision to handover its combatants to the government although it was the decision of the Army Integration Special Committee.
Addressing a programme organized by constituency no 5 of the party in Kathmandu, he urged all not to forget the role of the CPN-UML in the peace process and constitution writing.
While forming peace and reconciliation commission, it must be taken into account that the victims need to be catered justice while the torturers meted out punishment, he argued.
Similarly, leader Pokhrel said the form of governance should deter the chance of autocracy and instability.

STRIKE AFFECTS EASTERN REGION
Kathmandu, April 14: Normal life in the east was affected due to Mechi-Koshi banda (general shutdown) called by Janayuddha Rakshya Front Nepal on Saturday, RSS reports from Morang.
Public transportation in Mechi and Koshi zones has been disrupted due to the banda.
Chairman of the Front, Mukti Rijal said they called the banda to protest the handover of the Unified CPN (Maoist) combatants to the government before the promulgation of new constitution. Also they demanded to investigate the financial irregularities made by some PLA
commanders.
