engaged in a scuffle inside parliament premises Friday.
Surita Kumari Sah slapped Ahmad Akwal Sah, eyewitnesses said.
They exchanged heated arguments over participation programmes of broader Madesh morcha as other legislators attempted to keep them at bay.

INDIA SAYS REPORTS ON BIRGUNJ MISLEADING, INCORRECT
Kathmandu, 19 May: India Friday came to the rescue of its Birgunj Consul
General SD Mehta whose recall has been demanded by major parties in Nepal for remarks demanding One Madesh One Pradesh during talks with district NC and UML leaders of Bara and Parsa in Birgunj Thursday evening at a reception.
“The media reports are misleading and factually incorrect.. Such attributions seek to detract from he friendly relations between India and Nepal, “Spokesman of Indian Ministry of External Affairs Syed Akbaruddin said in New Delhi.
“India remains committed to supporting the constitution making
process for the establishment of a stable, democratic and prosperous Nepal.”
The development comes at a time amid reports on the presence of Ambassador Prasad at a meeting of political parties at the official residence of the prime minister and Indian involvement of New Delhi in Nepali politics.

NEPAL ARMY FACILITY FOR VETERANS
Kathmandu 19 May: Army Chief Chatraman Singh Gurung Friday laid
the foundation stone for a veterans’ home in Ichangunarayan VDC-6 in The Valley.
Such homes are being built retired Nepal Army (NA) personnel ‘who have made contributions to the institution and need physical caring, and health treatment as a widower ir a widow,” a statement said.

GOLD PRICE GAINS
Kathmandu, 19 May: Gold became dearer this week in the bullion market.
The yellow metal was traded for Rs.47,155 per tola Friday; Sunday’s price was Rs. 46,640per tola Sunday on the first day of trading in the week.
Silver was traded for Rs.875 per tola Friday—a decline of Rs.12.50
per tola on the closing day of trading Friday.

JOINT STATEMENT OF BIG THREE LOST
Kathmandu, 19 May: A press statement of the Big Three signed at Baluwatar went missing mysteriously Friday, Nagarik reports.
The statement went missing even before it was published.
The document objected to the statement of Mehta [Indian Birguinj consul general] that endangered peace management and social harmony.
According to a source, The statement reached the Indian embassy after landing in the hands of Gachedhar [deputy prime minister].

LARGE YOUTH TEAM IN CHINA
Kathmandu, 19 May: Chin has invited a large contingent of nearly 100
youth linked with political parties in a single group to develop ties at the people’s level, Nagarik reports from Hong Kong;
The team reached Beijng Monday afternoon via Hong Kong.
The lead is led by former sports minister Kamala Rokaya and includes representatives from Maoist YCL, NC Tarun Dal. Youth from UML and Madesh and independents.
All China Youth Federation is the team’s host.
