UPDATE POOR RESPONSE OF OPPOSITION RALLY Kathmandu, 8 June: Public response to opposition rally led by NC and UML didn’t meet expectations of organizers who said they would draw more than 100,000 to the meet at Open Air Theatre Friday. The Theatre was almost empty as speakers delivered their speeches at around six in the late afternoon. There were no crowds around Tundikhel and vehicles moved swiftly around Tundhikel. Had 100,000 assembled, the Theater would be packed.
