MORE ON FORMER KING’S STATEMENT Kathmandu, 4 July: The former King: dwelt on current issues in his news conference. :”Even in five years a specific blueprint hasn’t; been given to people. People are disillusioned. There should be a rule of law in the country, but there isn’t any. “I’ve heard of consensus. But I don’t know when it will come,” he said sarcastically. “The nation shouldn’t split over federalism. Nationalist should be reinforced keeping everybody’s rights and interests. “People are looking for a role for monarchy. There’s a feeling there should be a traditional power to entwine the country for national unity. The former king said: We were committed to peace and democracy yesterday and even today. People are saying the king should come and save the country. We respect the feelings of the people. We are ready to fulfill the responsibilities given to us by the people. The former king dismissed joining politics and added,” If we come, we will come in the role role of a king. There are other parties to delve in politics.” The former king hinted monarchy could state a comeback. You’ll have o wait some time for this. A king is a king. People are supreme. We’ve found people wan there should be a role for the king, We request patience for sometime.” MORE
