TWO QUADRUPLETS DIE Kathmandu, 8 July: Two quadruplets—a boy and a girl, died Sunday at Mission Hospital in Tansen Palpa district. Nnnn NEW INDIAN ARMY CHIEF ARRIVES TUESDAY Kathmandu, 8 July: New Indian Army Chief General Bikram Singh arrives Tuesday for a five-day official visit, Nepal Army (NA) said.. He’s coming on invitation of Nepal Army Chief Gen. Chhatraman Singh Gurung. President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav will confer rank of honourary general of NA om on the Indian Army chief on Wednesday to be followed by a special function by Sital Niwas. . Gen. Singh Wednesday will meet Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai, who is also looking after the Ministry of Defence. . The Indian Army Chief will visit the Nepal Army’s training centre for the UN peacekeepers in Panchkhal on Wednesday, the army school in Jomsom, the Indian Army’s pension camp and the Nepal Army’s western brigade in Pokhara on Thursday. He will visit the birthplace of Gautama Buddha in Lumbini Friday. Gen. Singh will visit the Shivapuri-based Army Command and Staff College and address the cadets receiving training there the same day. Gen. Singh concludes his visit Saturday. nnnn.
