17-MEMBER TALKS TEAM FOR CLIMATE CHANGE AND KYOTO PROTOCOL
Kathmandu, 24 Aug. : The Ministry of Environment, Science and Technology has formed a 17-member talks team to make Nepal´s presence result-oriented in the conferences under United Nations Convention on Climate Change and
Kyoto Protocol, RSS reports.
The Chief of Climate Change Management Division at the Ministry has been named the head of the negotiation team, which is formed for two years, stated a press release issued by the Ministry here on Friday.
Other members in the team are representatives from different Ministries including Finance, Foreign Affairs, Agriculture and Energy.
Capacity and role of negotiation team will be enhanced through orientation and training as per the need, states the release.
The Ministry has expected to address the issues and priorities of climate change by raising voice in the international negotiations and conferences, it is stated in the release

WINNTER OF NCELL CUP TO COLLECT BIGGEST PRIZE MONEY OF
RS.3 MILLION
Kathmandu, 24 Aug.: ANFA is organizing the Ncell Cup knockout tournament 12 September with the biggest prize money so far, organizers said Friday..
Winner of the British Gurkha Cup previously collected a Rs. 1 million prize money.
Sixteen A division football clubs will participate in the month-long tournament

The winner would get Rs 1.5 million prize money, according to ANFA Secretary Dhirendra Pradhan.
The runner-up will bag Rs 700,000 while semifinalists
will get Rs 150,000 each..
Earlier, British Gurkha Cup was the knockout tournament with highest cash prize in the country. The winner of the British Gurkha Cup has been receiving Rs 1 million from a total purse of Rs 2 million.
Ncell Cup is the second tournament under the sponsorship of the telecom company. ANFA had successfully organized National Women´s Football Tournament in Rautahat and Bara last month under the sponsorship of Ncell. Ncell had signed a sponsorship contract of Rs 10 million with ANFA on June 13 to organize the women´s tournament, youth tournament, an A division knockout tournament and assisting women´s national squad.
According to Pradhan, the 16 participating teams would be divided into four different groups and top two teams from each group would qualify for the quarterfinal stage.
ANFA will ward the best goalkeeper, defender, midfielder, forward and coach of the tournament with cash prize of Rs 75,000 each, while the best player of the tournament will receive a motorbike.
According to ANFA President Ganesh Thapa, the association would provide Rs 100,000 to each club in grants. Likewise, clubs would get their share from the gate money collected during the tournament. "We´ll give clubs their share in the gate money. However, we are yet to fix the percentage," said Thapa.
Ncell´s Corporate Communication Manager Sanju Koirala said the tournament and the sponsorship is for the development of football. Koirala said the success of Women´s National Football Tournament last month has encouraged them to continue their sponsorship.
