POKHARA PROTESTS CONTINUE DEMANDING CONSTRUCTION OF AIRPORT Kathmandu, 25 Aug.: A relay hunger strike continued in the resort town of Pokhara for the forth consecutive day Saturday demanding construction of an international airport to service the town. Locals have threatened to close down the present airport indefinitely from Tuesday is completely if firm commitments aren’t met. Government is negotiating with Chinese investors to finance the airport’s construction delayed for more than three decades. Protestors rejected to talks with a negotiating of a joint secretary and demanded ministerial-level talks to discuss demands. nnnn
