NC has deferred the general committee meeting announced for 10 to13 October by the central working committee meeting nnnn DAUGHTER OF ASHA BHOSLE COMMITS SUICIDE Kathamandu, 8 Oct.: Varsha Bhosle, daughter of Indian playback singer Asha Bhosle, committed suicide at their Peddar Road residence on Monday, agencies reports from Mumbai. Varsha shot herself, police said. Differing media reports put her age at 50 and 56; however she was believed to have been suffering from depression and had been hospitalised a few weeks ago after a suspected overdose of sleeping pills. Bhosle was a columnist with web portal Rediff, and had worked as a freelancer for The Sunday Observer and The Times Of India.
