FIRE AT BHUTANESE REFUGEE CAMP IN JHAPA Kathmandu, 14 Nov.: A fire at the only Bhutanese refugee camp in Morang destroyed houses The fire destroyed several houses. Firefighters from neighbouring Jhapa rushed to extinguish the fire. First reports said a burning candle started the fire. Most of the 100,000 refugees have been resettled in third countries, mostly USA. The Kulekhani Hydroelectricity Project – I and II have together started generating 92 MW of electricity from 5:30 this [Tuesday] evening, RSS reports from Hetauda. The Kulekhani-I is located at Jhosing and the Kulekhani-II at Bhainse in Makwanpur district. The additional power generated since this evening has been fed to the Central Transmission Grid, the Kulekhani-I project office stated. The project had been ctting down on power generation since the last some one and half months for restoring the water level in the project´s reservoir, said Sarada Bikram Malla, administrative officer of the Kulekhani-II project.
