JAPANESE JUSTICE MINISTR APOLOGIZES FOR WRONGFUL MURDER CHARGE AGAINST GOVINDA PRASAD MAINALI Kathmandu, 9 Nov.: Japanese justice minister Makoto Taki apologized Friday for the wrongful murder and rape charge against Govinda Prasad Mainali who spent 15 years in jail Mainali was accused and jailed for murdering a Japanese woman. "I deeply apologise for his long detention period of 15 years," said Taki, according to Kyodo news agency. Mainali said he’ll now seek compensation for wrongful charge and detention and said a DNA tests that cleared him should have been conducted earlier.
