PARTIES MEET TO REVIEW PRESIDENTIAL CALL Kathmandu, 24 Nov.: Major parties are holding consultations Saturday President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav Friday asked parties to form a national consensus government by four in the afternoon Thursday. Opposition UML has convened a meeting of its standing committee. Main opposition NC has also convened an informal meeting of its central leaders. Ruling Maoists have called a news conference and are expected to make public an official view Saturday. Top party leaders immediately reviewed the presidential call Friday. Opposition parties general welcomed the presidential move. No consensus government could e assembled by either government or opposition even in six months after repeated presidential calls.
