A herd of wild elephants including 'Dhrube', a notorious wild elephant, had entered the settlements in Madi during the night hour daily at a time when the Park administration at the Chitwan National Park intensified the search of the 'Dhrube'. The wild elephants had destroyed two houses of local Ram Prasad Bhandari on Monday. They entered the settlement again on Tuesday night and destroyed the houses of local Lokraj Baral and Tulasi Paudel. The villagers saved their lives by running away.
