CPN MAOIST CONDITIONS TO PARTICIPATE IN ASSEMBLY VOTE Kathmandu, 21 March:- CPN-Maoist decided to boycott a proposed constituent assembly election if four demands aren’t met.. The decision came following a politburo ting that concluded Thursday. The splinter group of UCPN Maoist also decided to boycott a vote conducted by the Khil Raj Regmi government. Chairman Mohan Baidhaya said his party could participate in elections conducted by a national consensus government. Baidhaya announced anti-government protests from 6 April. The party set four demands. It called for scrapping a 11-point pact agreement that installed the Regmi government. and nullify a presidential order for the removal of constitutional hurdles along with the dismissal of the government. The party demanded a roundtable conference. nnnn. DETAILS OF POLICE EXTORTION Kathmandu, 21 March: three policemen extort Rs. 2, 00,000 from a the idol trader. The trio were identified Prakash Malla, Rudraraj Paudel and Raju Bhandari. They have been suspended and investigations have been started. nnnn
