ELECTION ONLY MEANS TO END DEADLOCK SAYS PRACHANDA Kathmandu, 11 March: UCPN-Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has reiterated that fresh election to the Constituent Assembly (CA) was the best alternative to end the ongoing political deadlock in the country, RSS reports. Inaugurating the Fourth National Conference of All Nepal Transport Workers' Association in the capital on Monday, Prachanda said all should unite to establish people's rights through CA election. "Country has no other options than to holding election. Focusing on election is the need of the hour," he stressed. The former prime minister also called the major political parties to unite to end the political transition and drat the new constitution through the CA. He was of the opinion that election was needed even to empower the laborers in the transport sector. The UCPN-Maoist Chairman said that the country should be taken to the path of development by ending all hurdles through the political talks. On the occasion, central member of UCPN-Maoist Lekh Raj Bhatta said a common minimum commitment was needed to address the concerns of the transport sector. Similarly, he said the stakeholders need to make the transport sector well managed and respected, as it has provided employments to hundreds of thousand people. Bhatta said transport labours could play an important role to make the party victorious in the coming election. He urged the labours to be ready for the coming election. On the occasion, Chairman of All Nepal Trade Union Federation, Shalikram Jamarkattel said government and stakeholders should heed the problems of the labours. The artists affiliated to the Labours' Martyr Memorial Foundation performed revolutionary songs and dances at the programme. nnnn
