FIRST COMMENTS OF NEW GOVT. CHIEF Kathmandu, 14 March: The first meeting of the three--member cabinet held at the office of the Prime Minister at Singha Durbar Wednesday decided to hold elections and draft a constitution soonest. “Our objective is to hold fair elections with the cooperation of all.’ Peace and stability are the need of the hour. . Regmi said election date will be fixed soonest after consultations with election officials. The government chief tasked with responsibility to conduct elections said Administration will be run on the principle of separation of powers. The meeting formed a committee led by Minister for Home Affairs’ Madhav Prasad Ghimire with secretaries of the ministries to normalize supply of POL products. The cabinet decided to end doling financial dole to cronies and lackeys and directed ministries to end the practice liberally adopted by the outgoing government.
