22 INJURED IN LAMJUNG BUS ACCIDENT Kathmandu, 24 April: At least 22 persons were injured , six seriously, in a bus accident at Bhulbhule in Lamgung Wednesday. The bus was proceeding to Bhulbhule-5, Lamjung, from Beshisahar. The buss fell 10 metres down the road and hit a rock. The seriously injured have been brought to the capital for treatment. Other injured are undergoing treatment at Lamjung Community Hospital. nnnn. . “It is presumed that the slippery road and the malfunction of the steering might have caused the accident,” DSP Gorakh Singh Bhandari said. Bhulbhule is a VDC in Lamjung District in the Gandaki Zone. Nnnn AFC PRESIDENT’S CUP FROM 2 MAY Kathmandu, 24 April: The AFC President's Cup Football Championship-2013 is to be held on May 7, 9 and 11m RSS reports. All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) is organising the championship. According to ANFA, the national league champion teams from Nepal, Chinese Taipei, Bangladesh and Mangolia will participate in the championship. Nnnn ELECTION DATE ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY AFTER ADEQUATE PEPARATION Kathmandu, 24 April:: Minister for Health and Population Bidyadhar Mallik has said the date to the Constituent Assembly election would be announced only after ample preparations for the election, RSS reports.. Addressing the 17th anniversary of Nepal Medical College here on Wednesday, Minister Mallik said, "Government has given top priority to the preparation of the election. And, the political parties also need to create atmosphere for this." The only aim of the present government is to hold CA election and hand it over to the political parties, he said, urging all not to harbor doubt on government over election. On another note, Minister Mallik said this government would not make big decisions in the policy level relating to health sector. Election in November is the concentration of this government, he added. At the programme, Minister Mallik inaugurated the surgery ward, intensive care unit, CT scan facilities of the College. nnnn
