MORE THAN 100 SICK AFTER EATING PRASHAD IN NUWAKOT Kathmandu, 1 April: More than 100 people have fallen sick at the Suryamati VDC in Nuwakot district after eating prasad (sacred cookies) at a fest held after a worship ceremony, RSS reports from Trishuli. A Sansari worship ceremony was held at the Rai settlement at Chaukhuda, Suryamati VDC-4 on Saturday and a feast was organised after the worship. They started falling sick since the evening on Saturday after eating at the feast, said Yadav Prasad Pandey, a local of the village. The District Public Health Office has sent a team of health workers with medicine to the VDC. Inaugurating the Pashupati Annapurna Ashram at Doleshwor Temple at Sipadole in Bhaktapur today, Home Minister Ghimire said that the government is in a hurry to fulfill its responsibility by holding election to the Constituent Assembly (CA) at the earliest. He said that necessary works related to election process have been started as a campaign by giving full shape to the Election Commission (EC). Stating that the government has focused its all attention in election, Ghimire urged all political parties to participate in the election. The Home Minister said that the government was serious to create an environment for the participation of all the political parties in the election and added that the government has been facilitating by consulting and holding discussions through Coordination Committee. Minister Ghimire said that the government is committed to materialize the works of constitution promulgation by holding election soon at this challenging time of the country. nnnn
