CPN MAOIST GENERAL SECRETARY SAYS PARTY NOT AGAINST TALKS, POLLS Kathmandu, 19 May: General Secretary of the CPN-Maoist Ram Bahadur Thapa has said that his party is not against talks and election, RSS reports from Parsa . Expressing his views at a news conference organised by the Revolutionary Journalists' Federation in Parsa on Sunday, Thapa said that they are ready to hold talks with the government. He, however, said that scrapping of the 25-point ordinance, dissolution of the four-party mechanism and formation of an election government under the leadership of political parties through a roundtable conference are their demands for the talks. Thapa further said that they would only participate in the election to be held by a political party-led government. CPN-Maoist has been agitating against Khil Raj Regmi-led government demanding for the replacement of the apolitical government by a partisan one. nnnn
