GOLD GAINS RS.500 PER TOLA Kathmandu, 9 May: Gold was being traded for Rs.52,300 per tola Thursday. Price increased Rs.500 per tola compared to the previous day. nnnn BOMBS PLANTED AT SCHOOLS Kathmandu, 9 May: Two bombs planted by unknown persons/ at school in were recovered in Rupenandehi and Nawalparasi districts Thursday. A pressure cooker bomb was found at Parroha Higher Secondary School in Rupandehi. Another bomb was found at Saraswati School in Mainaghat VDC in Nawalparasi district. Examinations were disturpted at Rupendharhi. Voters’ list was being updated at one school as citizenship certificates were also being disrupted. nnnn. CABINET DISCUSSES DATE FOR ASSEMBLY ELECTION. Kathamandu, 9 May: A regular cabinet meeting Thursday is discussing date for second constituent assembly elections. Election ordinances and other related issues are aaaalso being discussed. nnnn ONE KILLED, ANOTHER MAULED BY TIGER IN CHITWAN Kathmandu, 9 May:: A person was killed and another critically injured in a tiger attack at Devnagar in Chitwan, RSS reports from Chitwan . Hanumante Sarki of Devnagar-4 was attacked by the tiger while he was asleep at his own house. The injured is Bikas Neupane (30) of the same village. He was attacked by the tiger while he was trying to rescue Hanumante Sarki, said police. Injured Neupane is being treated at Bharatpur Medical College Chitwan. Nnnn 13 INJURED IN VEHICULR ACCIDENT SYANGJA Kathmandu, 9 May: At least 13 people were injured in a road accident at Rangbhang VDC-8, Dhobadi in Syangja district on Wednesday, RSS reports from Syangja. The accident took place when a jeep (Ga.1 Cha. 4270) heading to Syangja headquarters from Rangbhang VDC fell some 150 meters down off the road at Dhobadi. As many as 13 passengers including driver injured in the accident. Slightly injured Bel Bahadur Thapa and Lil Bahdur Thapa returned home after receiving first aid treatment while critically injured other 11 were rushed to Charak Hospital in Pokhara, said police. Among the serious injured are Jan Kumar Thapa, Guman Sing Thapa and Jag Maya Thapa of Biruwa Archale and Kabina Thapa, Indra Bahadur Thapa, Rita Thapa, Kalpana Thapa, Sita Thapa, Bishnu Maya Ale, Chandra Kumari Thapa and jeep driver Mohan Thapa, said Somendra Sing Rathor, chief of the District Police Office. The cause behind the accident is yet to be identified, said DSP Rathor. Nnnn
