NATIONAL AWARENESS CAMPAIGN OF CPN MAOIST Kathmandu, 15 May: A national awareness campaign was launched by CPN Maoist and other supporting parties fro m Mechi to Mahakali. Chairman launched the campaign from Mahendranagar in the far-Wet and Vice-chairman CP Gajurel from the east in Mechi. The parties were protesting appointment of Lokman Singh Karki as CIAA chief. The campaign peaks29 May in the capital coinciding with republic day. nnnn MAN KILLED IN ACCIDENTAL SHOOTING Kathmandu, 15 May: A man died after he was shot mistakenly by a trainee policeman of the Armed Police Force in Lakhanpur of Jhapa district, RSS reports from Morang.. Suresh Rai, 40, who was a forest guard at the Ratuwamai Community Forest, died while he was undergoing treatment in Biratnagar today, according to District Police Office, Morang. Rai was critically injured and was rushed to Neuro Hospital, Biratnagar, after he was shot with a bullet released by a novice policeman from Pathibhara Battalion of the APF during his training in the jungle. nnnn
