Addressing the Fifth National Conference of Limbuwan Mukti Morcha in Phidim, Panchthar, on Tuesday, the UCPN-Maoist Chairman said pro-people constitution was not drafted, as his party could not bring two-thirds majority in the first Constituent Assembly (CA) election. Dahal said, "We have achieved success to dethrone the power structure of regime of Prithivi Narayan Shah through the bases of people's war. Now, all communists should forge a powerful communist center to make the country prosperous and institutionalize the republicanism." He also said that the UCPN-Maoist would not turn back from the demand of federalism with identity and added the CA was dissolved as the NC and UML rejected the demand of federalism with identity. Saying that the CA chairman Subas Nembang was to blame for the demise of the CA as he did not resume the CA meeting despite two-thirds CA members collecting their signatures for the constitution with federalism and identity. Party central member Giriraj Mani Pokhrel, Kochila State Committee Incharge Gopal Kiranti and others claimed that the Maoist would bring two-thirds majority in the upcoming CA election. nnnn
