GANG MEMBERS DEALING IN FAKE INDIAN CURRENCY NOTES ARRESTED Kathmandu, 24 June: Police in Birgunj Monday paraded paraded three persons arrested with counterfeit Indian currencies e on the open Nepal-India border. A ring was busted with the confiscated of fake INR 2.96 million Monday. Rameshwor Sahani Gothi ,45, Mithilesh Tiwari ,24, and Ranjit Jha ,22—all residents of the border town—were arrested. ) The currency notes were of Rs.1000 and Rs. 500 denominations. nnnn CHINESE STATE COUNCILLOR YANG ARRIVES Kathmandu, 24 June: Chinese State Councillor Yang Jiechi arrived for an overnight visit. China is extending assistance for the 19 November constituent assembly elections and construction of an academy for Armed Police Force. Yang will lay foundation stone for the extension and expansion of a ring road around the capital. nnnn
