SUSHIL KOIRALA LEAVING FOR NEW YORK THURSDAY Kathmandu, 27 June: NC President Sushil Koirala leaves for USA Thursday for New York where he underwent an operation at a leading hospital for tongue cancer three years ago. Koirala is going to New York for consultations when elections for a constituent assembly is being held 19 November and amid a fluid political situation. He leaves the country at a time when India is pushing rival Sher Bahadur Deuba as a possible successor of the incumbent president in the NC.
