NEPALI PEACEKEEPER PLATOON WITH UN AMBUSHED IN CONGO, THREE INJURED  

Kathmandu, 15 July:: A Nepal Army (NA) team with  the UN in in the Democratic Republic of Congo (MONUSCO) was ambushed by a rebel group in the central African state Sunday, NA spokesman said. Three were injured, immediately rescued and hospitalized. They were injured while they were on a regular patrol on the way to The patrol was en route to Kamango about 100 km from Mavivi, where NA´s Bhairavidal battalion is stationed. A platoon of 35 NA peacekeepers were ambushed by Allied Democratic Front (ADF), the NA added. The Nepali peacekeepers have hand, head and leg Injuries and are out of danger.

CPN MAOIST SAYS NO WITHOUT INCLUDING 32 OTHER
PARTIES
Kathmandu, 15 July: The CPN-Maoist has insisted that the party will not sit for talks with the High Level Political Committee ( HLPC ) until the four parties agree to hold ' talks ' with a joint talks team of 33-party alliance, The Kathmandu Post reports. .
CPN-Maoist Chairman Mohan Baidya on Monday told HLPC Coordinator Bijay Kumar Gachhadar that his party wants all the fringe parties be invited for negotiation first.
Gachhadar on Monday went to the CPN-Maoist party headquarter at Buddhanagar and requested the breakaway faction of the UCPN (Maoist) to sit in dialogue without delay. However, CPN-M leaders insisted all the dissident forces be brought into the talks , which they argued could make the talks meaningful.
According to CPN-M Secretary Netra Bikram Chand, Gachhadar said he would talk with leaders of four parties before making any decision on inducing fringe parties to the talks team.
The four parties have repeatedly refused to bring fringe parties on board unless they reach to some settlement with the CPN-Maoist first. However, the CPN-Maoist leaders, under apparent threats of fragmentation in the 33-party alliance , are adamant to their demand to include party's allies in the meeting.
The CPN-Maoist had announced a five member talks team under Baidya's leadership last Monday to settle differences over the Constituent Assembly election scheduled for November 19.
The decision, which was apparently taken without the discussion with it allies, had brewed discontent in the 33-party alliance . Following which Baidya agreed to correct mistake by forming a joint talks team with common demands.
A second round of strategic meeting of the 33-party alliance on Monday has also decided to form a joint team while sitting in dialogue with the HLPC . The members further decided to immediately start another round of nation-wide protest against the election.
"Most of the leaders were of the view that leaders of the big parties are not in favour of changing the CJ-led government and postponing the election for us. They
opined that the alliance should stay prepared for strong protest by beginning with awareness campaign," said a leader of 33-party alliance .

HLPM YALKS WITH THREE SPLINTER COMMUNIST PARTIES
Kathmandu, 15 July: The HLPM held talks with leaders of three small parties asking them to join the election fray.
The body of four parties behind government held talks with
CP Mainali-led CPN–ML, Chitra Bahadur KC-led Rastriya Janamorcha
party and Chandra Dev Joshi-led CPN–United.
The three fringe communist parties were positive about participating in the November vote.
