BAIDHYA BLAMES MECHANISM SUPPORTING GOVT.
Kathmandu, 2 Aug.: Chairman
of the CPN-Maoist, Mohan Baidhya has said the party’s boycotting of the
election is due to the High Level Political Committee's treatment to them and
the four-party syndicate in the national politics, RSS reports from Lalitpur..
Inaugurating the first Council Meeting of the All Nepal Teachers' Organisation in Lalitpur, today, he blamed that the CPN-UML barred the Ashok Rai's party, Gachchhadar barred Upendra Yadav's party and UCPN-Maoist barred his party from sitting in talks.
He said "The new constitution is a must to institutionalise the achievements of Maoist’s people's war and the second people's movement.”
He also held the four parties in the HLPC responsible for the dissolved CA’s failure to promulgate a constitution. “Thus there is no hope that they would promulgate constitution from the next CA as well,” he added.
He said that their proposal for the roundtable conference was for determining the contents of the constitution and to forge consensus among all regarding nationalism and independence.
At the programme, CPN-Maoist Secretary Dev Gurung, said the external interference was increased as the education sector has become a victim of privatisation.
Chairman of the Association, Gunaraj Lohani, chaired the inaugural function.
