Talking to journalists at the Biratnagar Airport this morning, he said decisive talks would be held with the political parties opposing the election including the CPN-Maoist, the Sanghiya Samajbadi Party and the Madhesi Janadhikar Forum Nepal.

UCPN (Maoist) leader Bhattarai claimed that the dissenting parties would participate in the Second Constituent Assembly Election as all their demands were likely to be met.

Referring to the case related to one Krishna Prasad Adhikari of his home district Gorakha, former Prime Minister Bhattarai said that the Adhikari case was being politicized and warned that this would distract the peace process.

"Nobody should do anything that distracts the peace process under various cover as it has already been stipulated by the Constitution that the cases from the conflict period shall be dwelt in a package by the proposed Truth and Reconciliation Commission," he said.
