HLPM TALKS WITH MJFN INCONCLUSIVE

Kathmandu, 13 Aug.: Talks between HLPM and MJFN of Upendra Yadav were held Tuesday on six opposition demands.

Inconclusive talks will continue Tuesday.

The MJFN is allied with CPN Maoist.

The mechanism behind the government and currently led by Maoist Chairman Prachanda is also scheduled to hold separate talks with  another opposition party Federal Socialist Party of Ashok Rrai.

OCTOGENARIAN HELD FOR RAPE

Kathmandu, 13 Aug.: The Area Police Office, Letang, has arrested an octogenarian on the charge of raping an eight-year-old girl in Morang district, RSS reports from Biratnagar/.

The arrested has been identified as 80-year-old Dank Bahadur Tamang. The man has been reported to have raped the girl at a time when she was alone at her home.

The victim girl has been taken under the responsibility of local women and investigation over the case has been forwarded, according to District Police Office, Morang.
