Prachanda’s election certain; voting starts (Breaking News)

Kathmandu, 15 Aug: Election of Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda is certain as voting for prime minister started at 6.10 PM Friday evening.
CA Chairman Subash Nemwang put a first resolution to elect Congress candidate Sher Bahadur Deuba to vote by division after debate started shortly one in the afternoon.
Assembly members put their signatures for and against Deuba on the left and right of the chairman’s seat.
There was a long queue to vote against Deuba and only Congress members and limited supporters of the former prime minister voting for him.
A second resolution to vote for and against Prachanda will also be put on the floor.
The foregone result will be officially announced later.
Prachanda is supported by nearly two-third majority of the CA.
Rashtriya Janasakti Party and Rashtriya Janamorcha also boycotted the vote.
