Foreign counties working for toppling Maoist-ld govt.; other details

Kathmandu, 17 Nov: A plot has been hatched to topple the Maoist-led government after the end of a honeymoon period, Sahghu reports.
Nepali Congress and some powerful EU member states have started lobbying against the Maoist-led government after concluding communists have started consolidating state power with danger to democracy.
Prime Minister Prachanda has received reports some influential ministers are involved in the conspiracy.
Government has received reports Great Britain, a EU member, is leading the conspiracy to topple government.
Should Maoists consolidate state power, democracy will be endangered, they have concluded.
It’s not for nothing that NC President Girija Prasad Koirala has launched a vitriolic campaign Maoists, Janabhavana reports.
Koirala has become aggressive to topple government with the help and support of the international community.
The community seeks CPN-UML as an alternative; the CPN-UML leaders have started an aggressive campaign against Maoists as well.
Getting the hint, Maoists have started to negate the moves by giving statements to ‘suit foreign taste’ to continue in government.
The anger of Koirala is understandable.
Koirala knows Maoists toppled him after two years of uninterrupted rule.
His dream of becoming the first president was dashed at the last moment when CPN-UML ditched Koirala.
It’s not easy for Koirala to regain power
Indians and some western countries are backing CPN-UML as an alternative to Maoists.
Meanwhile, state radio Radio Nepal Sunday said Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Bam Deb Gautam unnamed foreign countries were interfering in Nepal security and internal matters,

Peace Minister Prabhabkar meets rebel leader
Kathmandu, 17 Nov: Maoist Peace Minister Janardhan Sharma Prabhakar Monday held discussions with a leader of the rebel terai group in Saptari.
Sharma held talks with Bidrohi, chief of Madesh Rashtriya Janatantrik Party, who crossed the border from Bihar where to Sunauli.
He was escorted by government in a vehicle after the talks with the minister.
Bodrohi said talks were fruitful though the minister, who is coordinator of a three-member government talks team made no comment.
Ministers Renu Yadav and Ram Chandra Jha, members of the government dialogue team, held talks with several groups in Bihar during the just concluded festive season.
Prabhakar flew to Janakpur from the capital Sunday for the talks Monday.
Like Maoists who sheltered in India during the 11-year people’s war, terai rebel groups also operate from across the border.
