Nepal enters finals of ACC U-17 Elite Cup Cricket tournament

Kathmandu, 10 Feb: Nepal defeated UEA by 21 runs to enter Tuesday the finals for the first time of the ACC U-17 Elite Cup cricket tournament being held in the Nepalese capital.
Nepal is emerging as a non-test playing cricketing power with the victory.
Nepal will play Malaysia in the finals Thursday.
Nepal bowled out UAE for 123 runs in 39 overs after setting the Gulf nation a target of 145 runs for victory.
Nepal scored 144 runs for nine wickets in 40 overs.

Tharus announce new protests

Kathmandu, 10 Feb: Tharus of terai claiming they aren’t Madeshis Tuesday announced new protests to force government to de-list them as Madeshis.
Violent protests continues in the south for the fourth day even as the community said it had called off protests Monday.
The community will begin protests from Friday, including forced closures of district headquarters and encirclement of Singha Durbar in the capital.
The new programme was announce on he fourth day of their continued protests.

Rs 200 million tax declared voluntarily

Kathmandu, 10 Feb: Government Tuesday collected another Rs 200 million under a scheme to declare personal taxes voluntarily.
The scheme lapses Wednesday
Possible taxpayers Tuesday demanded
A two-month extension which so far is not agreeable to the Maoist-led government.
