NINE FORMER KUMARIS DRIVEN TO NIRMAL NIWAS TO MET FORMER KING (BREAKING NEWS)

Kathmandu, 21 Sept.: In a show of defiance against government intervention , nine former Kumaris or Living Goddesses, were driven to Nirmal Niwas, the residence of former King Gyanendra who couldn’t offer worship publicly at Basantapur Tuesday.
The former Kumaris were driven to the residence of Gyanendra in seven taxis.
The ousted king will honour the Kumaris—one 90—at his residence.
The programme at Basantapur, the first of its kind, was organized by Yuba Hindu Mahasangh.
Government banned all worship and puja by Gyanendra at temples –severely restricting the fundamental right of a citizen to pursue religious practice of choice.
The organizers will have to break a heavy police cordon to enter Nirmal Niwas.
