RPP-NEPAL REGRETS GOVT. INTERVENTION IN GYANENDRA’S PROGRAMME

Kathmandu, 21 Sept.: RPP-Nepal Tuesday regretted government interference in a programme to honour nine former Kumaris or Living Goddesses at Basantapur.
Organizers defied the government intervention and drove the Kumaris to the residence of former King Gaynendra at Nirmal Niwas where the then king offered worship and money to the former Living Goddesses.
RPp-Nepal said government curtailed human rights of a citizen by interfering in religious and cultural activities.

TWO EUROPEAN TOURIS MISSING IN DOLAKHA

Kathmandu, 21 Sept.: Two European tourists have gone missing after their boat capsized Tuesday on a river in Dolakha where they were rafting.
Six of their colleagues swam to safety.

DOL BAHADUR KARKI RELEASED ON BAIL
Kathmandu, 21 Sept.: UML lawmaker Dol Bahadur Karki was released Tuesday by a three-member bench of the special court on a bail of Rs 500,000.
His accomplice was also released.
Karki was suspended Tuesday from parliament.

MAOIST EXPANDEFD CENRAL COMMITTEE MEET 23 OCT.

Kathmandu, 21 Sept.: An expanded central committee of Maoists will be held in Chitwan 23 October, the party standing committee decided Tuesday.
The party decided to form a powerful disciplinary committee to enforce discipline.
The committee asked members not to speak publicly against party policy.
The expanded central committee will approve a unified policy and progrmme of the party being prepared by Chairman Prachanda by incorporating suggestions of Vice-chairmen Mohan Baidya and Dr Baburam Bhattarai as well.
