Kathmandu. 17 May: Maoist Spokesman Dinanath Sharma through a communiqué late Tuesday said there was an attempt to kill Vice-chairman Dr. Baburam Bhattarai at party headquarters.
No further details were furnish except saying there was a plot.
Sharma said the matter was serious which should be investigated.

THREE RULING PARTIES DECIDE TO FOIL ATTEMPTS TO TOPPLE GOVT.

Kathmandu, 17 May: Three ruling parties--, Maoists. UML and MJFN of Upendra Yadav decided Tuesday to foil attempts of opposition to dislodge it.
The parties decided to convert the communist-government into an administration to give its national status.
The ruling parties concluded there was no alternative to the present government.
Maoists in government decided to convene a standing committee meeting Wednesday to finalize and present its formal proposal for integration and resettlement of 19,000 former combatants in state agencies.
Main opposition parties oppose creation of a separate unit of Maoists under state security agency for integration.
The main opposition NC’s official position will be presented to Maoists Wednesday, General Secretary Kishna Prasad Shitaula said.,
