DELEGATION OF COMMUNIST PARTY OF CHINA ARRIVING

SEPARATE PADLOCKS AT UGC OPENED

Kathmandu, 14 July: Separate padlocks at the University Grants Commission (UGC) office were opened Wednesday after 60 days by Nepall Rashtriya Pradhayapak Sanghathan and Loktantrik Pradhyapak Sangh.
The organizations are affiliated with Maoists and Madessh Morcha of five terai parties.
They were protesting what was called unilateral appointments to vacant posts in the Commission.
Prof. Dr. Ganesh Man Gurung and was appointed chairman and Bholanath Pokhrel member-secretary by UML-led government nine months ago.

CHINESE TEAM OF CPC COMING

Kathmandu, 14 July A-member team high-level four-member Chinese team led by Vice-director of Literature Research Center of Communist Party of China (CPC) Chen Jin arrives Thursday.
The delegation will hold separate discussions with leadership of UCPN (Maoist), NB and UML Friday.
Director of the Institute of Party Building of CPC Gao Yongzhongm and two other officials of the Institute Jun Yanxin and Mu Jinling are other members of the team.
The delegation members are with the CPC Center for Contemporary World Studies.

SHARE PRICE RECOVERY CONTINUES

Kathmandu, 14 July: Share price recovery continued Wednesday as the market gained 4.24 points and closed at 356.48 points at the end of trading on the fourth day of five-day weekly trading.
The market gained 6.18 points Tuesday.
Price indices of hydro power companies, commercial and development banks and financial institutions continued to rise.
Altogether 150,059 shares were traded for Rs 30.59 million through 978 transactions.

NEPAL POLICE CLUB CHAMPION OF MARTYRS MEMORIAL A DIVISION LEAGUE

Kathmandu, 14 July: Nepal Police Club (NPC) will be champion of the Martyrs’ Memorial A Division Football League for the third successive year in 2011.
The NPC defeated rival Three Star Club 1-0 Wednesday at Dashrath Rangashala; Suman Subedi scored the solitary goal.
The Police team has collected 44 points through 14 wins, two draws without losing a match,
NPC Saturday meets Manang Mayshyangdhi Club (MMC), with 41 points through 13 wins, two losses and one loss, has in the last match Saturday.
MMC has to score the almost impossible task of scoring at least eight goals to lift the title.

NEPAL TO PARTICIPATE IN FIRST ASIAN UNIVERSITYBEACH VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT

Kathmandu, 14 July: Sushila Thapa and Parvati Aryall will represent Nepal in the First Asian University Beach Volleyball Tournament at Lai Zhau, China, from 15 to 20 July.
The pair with Police Club will represent Padma Kanya Campus and Sanothimi Campus.
