HEALTH OF BHUTANESE WOMEN REFUGEES ON HUNGER STRIKE DETERIORATES
Kathmandu, 18 Nov.: Health condition of Bhutanese Refugee women of Beldangi, who have started fast-unto-death demanding identity cards and relief to the refugees for the past four days, is being critical, RSS reports from Bhadrapur.
Women Group Advisor of the fast-unto-death programme R.B. Subba said among the participants of the fast-unto-death, Indrakala Bhandari, Chandramaya Khadka, Indira Bhattarai and Tulasa Dhakal have fallen sick. As many as 15 women started the hunger strike from Tuesday.
It has been reported that out of the 15 participants, three went unconscious on Thursday and some of them have been taken to Amda Hospital, Damak, for treatment.
As many as 3,649 Bhutanese refugees of Jhapa and Morang districts have been deprived of identity cards.
Chairperson of the Group, Durga Devi Bista informed that they will continue the hunger strike until their demands were fulfilled.

Bista further said they have been deprived of various facilities including relief as they have been living in camps without identity cards.

CALL ON PRESIDENT FOR PROTECTION OF RELIGIOUS SITE
Kathmandu, 18 Nov.: The office-bearers of the Basukicahur Goraksha Peeth Bhuvaneshwari Kotihom Site Conservation Committee called on President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav on Friday, RSS reports from Kirtipur.

The committee was constituted with the objective of preserving the Basukicahur Goraksha Peeth Bhuvaneshwari Kotihom religious site at Balkhu, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-14.

A team comprising committee chairman Dr. Shambhu Khanal, general secretary Shyam Krishna K.C., former MP Shankar Pandey, among others, met the President and informed him that a 20 ropanis plot on the premises of the Kotihom site would be developed into a memorial to the Yogi Narahari Nath.

The President had laid the foundation stone of the place for the construction of the statues of Yogi Narahari Nath and Gorakshanath on August 14, 2010
