Kathmandu, 28 Nov.: Recording of preferences
of former Maoist PLA fighters at six of seven cantonments will

the Secretariat of a special government committee for integration
and resettlement said.

Most fighters have opted integration—more than 6,500 seats in Nepal Army (NA) under a separate directorate set aside for the former rebel
fighters.
This has created both political and logistical hurdles for government, NA and political parties.
Some fighters loyal to a faction to First Vice-chairman Mohan Baidya who opposes integration before completing the peace process Sunday
