PRESIDENT, NC VICE-PRESIDENT PAUDEL CONSULTATIONS
Kathmandu, 2 March: President Dr Ram Baran Yadav on Friday has called on the leaders of the major three political parties to complete the works related to the peace and constitution in time, reminding them that this is no time to play with the country's future and dilly-dally, RSS reports.

The President has stressed making maximum use of the remaining time and completing the peace and constitution in time, as there is no chance of extending the term of the Constituent Assembly any more.

President Yadav said this in a meeting with the main opposition party leader Ram Chandra Paudel at the Rashtrapati Bhawan, Sheetal Niwas, today.

"This is no time now for you people to play with the future of the country and be complacent; especially, the leaders of the three main political parties should be very sincere and sort out the differences if any through discussions and consensus," Nepali Congress parliamentary party leader Paudel quoted the President as saying in the meeting.

The President also reiterated that the remaining works on peace and the constitution should be concluded within the remaining period since the Supreme Court has also reminded of the situation in which the CA term cannot be further extended.

In the meeting, President Yadav inquired with Paudel about whether the constitution would be completed in time, the progress in the peace process and the political parties' works regarding these issues.

In reply, Nepali Congress vice-president Paudel said the parties were once again holding serious discussions and that he believed the knotty issues would be resolved in the meeting of the top leaders on Saturday.
