PM’S ADVISOR POUDEL SAYS ANARCHY LIKELY
Kathmandu, 4April: Politburo member of the UCPN (Maoist) and Prime Minister´s political advisor, Devendra Poudel has said that there is risk of the nation being trapped into anarchy if the constitution was not promulgated in the slated time, RSS reports from Butwal.
Poudel said though some forces were working to obstruct the promulgation of the new constitution, peace process and constitution were close to conclusion soon.
He added that the constitution has to be promulgated through consensus within May 27.
At an interaction program organized by Lumbini branch of the Reporters´ Club Nepal on Wednesday, Poudel said integration of the PLA combatants will be concluded by April 12.
Poudel argued that the remaining issues on army integration would be sorted out by the political parties as they are close to reaching agreement on various contentious issues.
He claimed that the topic of army integration would be finalized by April 12 since PLA combatants opting for voluntary retirement have been discharged and the process of forming the Truth and Reconciliation Commission was underway.
The Maoist leader said his party, the Maoist was working to draw up an anti- colonial and anti-feudalist federal constitution with the representation of different ethnic groups and castes, but not a racial constitution.
Poudel said it was his party´s stance that the President should not be dictatorial, pointing out that debate was underway regarding adopting a presidential system accountable to the people.
He criticized some leaders in his party who he said were working to topple the government led by own party, terming it as against the Marxist principles.

THREE CHILDREN INJURED IN TRACTOR ACCIDENT
Kathmandu, 4 April: Three children including a tractor diver were injured in a tractor mishap at Balefi in Sindhupalchowk district on Wednesday morning, RSS reports from
Chautara.
The injured are Sujit Shrestha, 8, Gokul Shrestha, 10 and Sunita Shrestha, 8, of Phulpingdanda-6 and the tractor driver Ram Bahadur Tamang, according to the District Police Office.
Sujit, Sunita and Gokul are from the same family and are the family members of the tractor owner.
All the injured are undergoing treatment at Sadabahar Community Hospital at Khadichaur.
The accident took place when the tractor (Na 2 Ta 630) laden with timber was heading towards Balefi from Chanaute of Phulpingdanda fell some 20 meters off the road to the bank of the Sunkoshi River, said police.

HUSBAND MURDERS WIFE
Kathmandu, 4 April: A man killed his spouse in Bara district on Wednesday morning, RSS reports from Kalaiya.
According to the District Police Office, Bara, Shankar Kushbah (40) of Kalaiya Municipality-14 in the district murdered his wife Lalita Devi by attacking her with an axe.
The 35-year-old Lalita Devi died on the spot after the attack which reportedly took place in course of a domestic quarrel.
Police have arrested Shankar Kushbah and the body of Lalita Devi has been brought to Kalaiya Hospital for postmortem.
