PREPARATIONS AFOOT FOR TALKS BETWEEN GOVT. AND INDIGENOUS NATIONALITIES Kathmandu, 22 May: Preparations are afoot for another round of talks between government between representatives of government and umbrella organization of indigenous nationalities. Two rounds of talks to withdraw a three-day bandh Monday was inconclusive. Tuesday is the last day of the three-day strike. nnnn MORE THAN 100 DRIVERS WITH AMBULANCES STAGE SIT-IN AT MORGANG DISTRICT HEADQUARTERS Kathmandu, 22 May: More than 100 ambulance drivers staged a sit-in in front of Morang district office demanding security. Angry drivers took the extreme action after an ambulance was attacked in atnagarin front of a hospital. nnnn LEOPARD DARTED NEXT TO PAKISTAN EMBASSY Kathmandu, 22 May: A leopard was trapped and darted by zoo officials next to the Pakistan embassy in the northern suburb of the city Tuesday. The cat will be kept at the zoo after medical examination Zoo officials said the leopard could be sick or it may have come out of Shivapuri searching for food in the quiet of the bandh. nnnn
