PM DISAPPROVES DESCRIPTION OF GOVT. AS ‘CARETEKER’ BY PRESIDENT Kathmandu, 9 June: Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai this week disapproved of his government as a ‘caretaker’ by President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav. “Let’s not talk about that,” the premier told a television interviewer this week when reminded the Bhattarai government was described as a caretaker by the government chief. Nnnn SAMUEL TAMRAT CONTINUES CONSULTATIONS Kathmandu, 9 June: Samuel Tamrat, envoy of UN Secretary-Grneral- Ban Ki-moon continued consultations and held discussions Friday with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Narayan Kaji Shrestha. They discussed events leading up to the announcement of elections 22 November and automatic dissolution of the constituent assembly (CA). Tamrat arrived Wednesday and launched his discussions by talking with diplomats, including ambassadors from China and India,,and leaders of political parties. He is holding consultations with Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai to prepare a Nepal for report to the UN chief. UN oversees Nepal from New York after closing its office in 2011.
