GORKHAPATRA JOURNALIST KILLED AFTER ACCIDENT Kathmandu, 29 May: Former president of the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ), Bara chapter, Binod Pyakurel, has died in a road accident, RSS reports from Bara. . Pyakurel who sustained serious injuries after being hit by a Tata Sumo vehicle at Jeetpur on the Birgunj-Pathalaiya road section on Tuesday died on the way to Kathmandu. He was rushed to Birgunj for treatment. Pyakurel suffered serious injuries to his head. Pyakurel was the Bara district correspondent for the Gorakhapatra National Daily and the Terai Television (TTV). The driver of the Tata Sumo has been arrested in this connection, police said.
